Hope you all had a great time & got home without incident. I was amazed to get through the huge pileup on 28MHz with 100w to a wire doublet within a few minutes of trying. Nice to see 10m open, and a delight to hear quality CW ops at the sharp end.

David

I hope everyone had fun on the trip.  Very much appreciate  your wonderful DXxpedition.  I was completely surprised when I made a simple call on 20m phone and you came right back.  I run a tiny station--100W and the dipole is inside my house.  Thank you for listening!

Thank you for the new country on SSB; and CW band-fills. You guys are doing a fine job with whatever equipment you have and that's how it should be done. Ignore the whiners but do stay QRV at all times on at least one band. You were off air for a reasonable period last evening after briefly wkg NA on 40m cw. 20m would have been good to NA and 40m to VK/ZL at that same time.  There still seems a fair bit of demand for a new one to those parts of the world.

73 and have a safe trip home!

VE1AL

Glad to finally QSO on 10M -- BUT -- my 1st QSO was not logged because I was not on the west coast of NA.  However, the station worked just before me was K4DK, also not on WC.  3B9 is a very long way from VE1 no matter how you look at it.  I feel the operator should have logged me and been more aware of propagarion from NA to 3B9.  BTW, I run just 100W to 4-el.  Finally, the behaviour of the Europeans was/is atrocious.

F6GNZ, Radi

Hi,

It would be nice if you could, during some free time, visit 3B9FR, Robert Felicité who lives in Citronelle, and bring him to your activity site. Last info about him from 3b9/OE4AAC was that he no longer is able to be on the air, had lost his job, has health problems, his antenna rotten  in the mud, his FT920 broken...Having him attend your activity might rise-up his morale and re-wake up his interest for HAM radio, which would be very beneficial for his mood and also for the fest of the hAM fraternity.

I wish you a safe trip and a lot of fun in the pileups !

Great! Now I know where to *** my 2nd hand car in Ghana, and be able to hold my antenna erect for three days!

Seriously though, I will be pleased to work you on a couple of new bands. Your aims seem very similar to our YJ0VK operations, with minimal equipment, and trying to keep excess baggage charges down. Despite limitation of no amplifiers and simple antennas, we had a blast, with terrific pileups for two weeks!

All the best with your preparations and activity from Rodrigues.
